Established in the early 1990’s by Fraser McAlpine, founded on the basis of quality craftsmanship from our inception, the business soon developed a reputation for premium quality signage.
The business continued to flourish after being purchased by Matt Rodier in 2003. As Dunsborough was being transformed from a sleepy country town, into a modern contemporary district, housing an increasing number of highly skilled and renowned businesses, Dunsborough Signs & Graphics were responsible for overseeing many iconic branding projects during this exciting phase.
Attracting and growing an enviable client base reading like the who’s who of the local scene, we relocated into purpose built state of the art premises in 2008.
With the acquisition of in-house digital print technology, Dunsborough Signs & Graphics remains the premier local signage business, continuing to be inspired by the beautiful South West, and the talent / skill base that exists here across a wide range of industries. We are influenced by them all to a great degree.
Our key strengths are our certified qualifications, design skills, and passion to see quality branding within our district. We have a commitment to see the branding realise it’s intended marketing purpose with accuracy and style. Something you will not get from lesser experienced and unqualified imposters masquerading as a legitimate sign shop.

Matthew Rodier, Owner
Matt commenced his distinguished career as a humble apprentice signwriter for Super Signs in 1989, being hand selected over 150 applicants in an era when signwriting was a highly skilled and competitive environment. Matt honed his craft under the mentoring of some of Perth’s most talented signwriters, airbrush artists and graphic designers, completing his studies in 1992 with a runner up apprentice of the year award along the way.
By late 1993 Matt commenced contract work, in high demand by companies closely associated with the stadium corporate signage at Subiaco oval and the WACA ground. This time also involved producing work for Peters Ice cream and Coca Cola as a hired gun to some of Perth’s busiest sign shops. Well liked and respected within his industry, he was always in demand.
After a trip around Australia in 2002, Matt acquired Dunsborough Signs & Graphics and hit the ground running with great enthusiasm. Building on an already impressive client base, he continued to attract a larger number of valued and renowned businesses as regular customers. In 2008 Matt moved the business into state of the art premises in Dunsborough’s Enterprise Park, and continues to set the standard for signage within the Dunsborough region.
Matt is known for his honesty, talent and ability to make things happen. Being well connected locally, inspired by the abundance of talented and creative people in the Dunsborough area, he strives for the best quality outcome for all signage projects. Equally competent in designing, constructing or installing your sign, he’s done it all.
Beyond signage, Matt is a married man with 2 lovely young children being raised in the best part of the world. With a background in Motocross at a highly competitive level, he still enjoys a ride now and then, but loves the mountain biking these days even more. Matt has also played in quite a few bands in Perth as keyboard player and singer. He also loves getting out in the 4 x 4 and the camper trailer.
